Combat

Yellow passive text is fixed, blue grows

In a Pal's passive skill, yellow values are permanent ; blue values increase by condensing.

Combat

You can swap a Pal's active skills

Select the Pal in the menu or at a Pal station, click a skill, and pick from its known skills.

Exploration

Mark egg spawns

The egg locations are fixed and the eggs reappear (their size is random and they may be mutated) — mark them on your map.

Base

Farm fruits and peaches with a base

Pals auto-pick skill fruits if the tree is inside your base — worth building around one.

Exploration

Reroll skill fruits

Don't like a tree's fruits? Travel away and come back — they change (sometimes it takes 2 tries).

Exploration

Mark skill-fruit trees

They respawn, so mark every one you find on your map.

Base

The Sort button refreshes expiry

Sorting resets expiration timers on everything (as long as it isn't already sorted). Or just move items around manually.

Exploration

Keep lucky-Pal sounds at 100%

'SE' in the audio settings also covers the lucky (shiny) Pal sound — set it to 100% and lower the rest, you won't miss any.

Exploration

Reset the grappling hook cooldown

Move it out of the weapon slot and back in to reset its cooldown.

Base

Food type matters

Salad is cheap, gives lots of sanity to base Pals and raises work speed by 30%.

Combat

Match attacks to your Pal's element

Pals deal ~20% more damage using skills that match their own element. Water Pals hit harder with water attacks.

Combat

Elements have effects and synergies

Lightning shocks, ice freezes, poison/fire deal DoT. Soak an enemy with water then hit with lightning for double lightning damage. Elements also have strengths and weaknesses.

Combat

Revive Pals outside your base

Use Lyleen's heal ability to revive downed Pals out in the field.

Combat

Sleeping fully heals your team

Combat

Mounted cooldowns are separate

After using a mounted Pal's abilities, hop off — it can do them again. Mounted cooldowns don't share with regular ones.

Combat

Elemental effects boost catch rate

Inflict an effect (freeze, shock…) to raise catch %. Use mounted abilities + Ring of Mercy to apply them safely.

Base

Experiment with build order

If A won't place next to B because of overlap, place A first then B. Can't place a wall? Place a diagonal wall, then swap it for a regular one.

Combat

Don't sleep on support Pals

Lunaris, Herbil… and some non-obvious ones. Elphidran Aqua flies, swims AND runs — all decently fast, very early. Great fishing Pal but also a great combat Pal that scales well.

Base

You can sleep on Pal-Beds too

Not just human beds.

Exploration

Fast travel straight from your base

No need to walk to your Palbox — travel from anywhere in the base.

Base

Run multiple expeditions at once

Build several expedition stations to run more than one at a time.

Base

Exclude Pals from expeditions

Lock your team Pals so they always stay in the Palbox.

Base

Push expeditions past 100%

Going beyond 100% on a Pal expedition really does give more rewards — don't stop at 100.

Base

Read the keybinds in every menu

Instantly transfer inventory to chests, cycle between bases on the map, and more.

Base

Keep low-tier schematics

You combine them in "Drafting table" later into better ones.

Base

Food never expires in the guild chest

Store food in your guild chest and it won't spoil.

Base

Big buildings only need to be 50% inside the base

Place ranch / breeding farm / expedition station on the base border to save a lot of space. Careful: ranches may drop items outside the base.

Base

Two oil rigs on a single node

You can place 2 oil rigs on one node.

Base

Stack your placeables

Most placeables (mining spots, plantations, production lines, storage…) can be stacked using benches/tables/boxes/pillows. Pals still work them from the ground, up to a limit.

Base

Chests grab items instantly

Place a chest in an inaccessible spot and Pals transfer items to it instantly — no walking. Don't forget to configure each chest's settings!

Base

Put merchants in a Viewing Cage

You can still trade with a caged merchant, without using a Pal slot at your base.

Base

Capture merchants instead of grinding

Traps make it easy. For a lot of what they sell, it's cheaper to farm gold and buy than to farm the material itself.

Base

Dig into the Settings

You can disable Pal auras and 'hold button for action' — plus a lot of other useful options.

Exploration

Always do the hacking devices

Some of the best accessories are found there, and their locations are fixed.
